Oct. 7/17 UPDATE
100% satisfaction on:
- Aug. 21/17 Ian Zimmerman admitted 'dropping the ball' on my issue.
- Sent out technician that very day to assess my concerns and address resolutions. Technician Chris was terrific with options and on my approval proceeded to order new replacement panel and return a few days later with spray paint match to cover damaged finish areas. Excellent.
-Yesterday new panel installed by Technician Ryan. Excellent. Delay of installation is due to this customers unavailability until yesterday.
Very happy customer. Would have no hesitation recommending Aurora O/H Doors.
Here's my star history with this company, which admittedly I did not place in writing at the time. However, I'm certain I verbally expressed on each of the following occasions our satisfaction with each job completed.
5 Stars in November 2005 on installation of 2 new garage doors consisting of 4 panels each.
5 Stars on July 30, 2007 for service call.
5 Stars on Jan. 15, 2016 for service call.
1 Star as of today, I'll explain.
Wed., July 12/17 early a.m. in person visit to Aurora O/H Doors location and had, I thought, a reasonable informative brief chat with Ian Zimmerman. This concerned rust on 1 panel and finish disappearing in a few spots on other panels. Noting doors are 12 yrs. old and thus 2 years out of warranty. Ian advised send photos.
Same day 4:49 p.m. sent 4 photos with comments to please enlarge photos on his desktop to clearly see areas in question. Also requested all options to correct and/or replace panels in question. Note I herewith thanked Ian for his few minutes of personal attention on my 'drop in' visit that a.m.
Fri., July 28/17 7:19 a.m. no reply. Resent email indicating he was obviously very busy, and when might I expect a reply or I could make an appt. to go there for answers.
Same day 7:45 a.m. he replied reminding me of 12 yr. age of doors and out of warranty. He can replace panels, how many needed, he can't tell from pics. (Remember I send 4 pics and advised to enlarge on computer for detailed view.)
Same day 8:15 a.m. sent email reply detailing rust panel severity and suggesting this took perhaps more than 2 yrs. to accumulate and would he consider retroactive warranty. Also said if not how much $$ for that new panel. I believe I included 1 or all of the photos again.
Wed., Aug. 9/17 2:00 p.m. no response. Sent email indicating how great this company was in dealing with original purchase and install of doors in question. If Aurora O/H Doors no longer wished to deal with this customer please advise. Resent earlier email(s) with pic(s) and reminded to enlarge same on computer for full detailed view.
Sun., Aug. 20 10:15 a.m. (this writing) no response.
How many stars would you give is my question to all who are reading this review of mine?

No photos included in my review. 3 Photos shown as included have nothing to do with my review & were not placed there by me.
A few days a go as I was ready to go to work and after pressing the button to open my garage door, the opener's cables snapped. I was told to contact Aurora Overhead Doors. They were at my house the next day before 10:00 am and fixed everything quickly and efficiently. There are probably a lot of qualified people out there that can easily change those cables but the personalty of the Aurora Overhead Door's technician and the fact that how courteous he was and professionalism was greatly appreciated. We hope that we don't need you again but if we do, you would be the one that we would contact again. People do "NOTICE" good work, keep up the good work.
