Our service coordinator & dispatcher Iris Quiroz is always smiling
When you call Aurora Overhead Door you’ll likely first talk to Iris. She has been part of our team since December 2021.
Iris knows the technicalities of garage doors as well as anyone as she previously worked at our principal supplier, Clopay and prior to that another garage door company in Toronto.
She lives in Alliston with her husband, daughter, son and three energetic dogs.

In addition to the extensive line of Clopay Garage Doors we now sell and install residential overhead doors from C.H.I., a manufacturer based in Illinois.
Their wide range of doors provides additional choices for our customers in York Region. Especially innovative are the infinity tinted glass doors (see above, Luca is holding a sample of the panel), and the horizontal plank doors (below).
In the Contemporary Collection, Planks with woodtones cedar with optional plain stacked black frame windows and plain glass.

Huge Upwardor Commercial Doors for Technicore
Huge Doors for Innovative Tunnelling Company
Aurora Overhead Doors is pleased to have installed three TX-450 overhead doors manufactured by Upwardor. The largest is 30′ wide and 20′ high. The installation required two 60′ booms.
The unusually large doors are required by Technicore which is a boring machine manufacturer and contractor located in East Gwillimbury. We are proud to be associated with this world-leading industrial innovator that is a pioneer in the fast-growing market for tunnelling and boring technologies.

We Welcome Luca to our Sales Team
Luca has been installing and servicing garage doors in Aurora and Newmarket for the last 7 years as the owner of his own business. Therefore he is knowledgeable about every aspect of how to delight homeowners with garage doors that are beautiful and welcoming.
He is also experienced with keeping commercial customers happy with competitive prices and rapid response.
Before he started in this industry Luca was successful in hospitality with senior positions in prestigious hotels including the Four Seasons in Florence, Italy. To succeed in hospitality one has to be extremely attentive to the needs of guests, which is a characteristic he has brought to servicing Aurora Overhead Door’s clients.

New management
Opening New Doors
In October 2021 Ian Zimmermann retired and passed the torch to Simao Louzeiro, a longstanding and loyal employee of the business.
Simao and the team wish to express their appreciation for Ian’s over 30 years of leadership which has seen the business grow to be the leading and most respected garage door company in the region.
“We have big plans to expand the business” states Simao, “Garages are no longer just a place to keep vehicles, they have become part of the living and workspace in homes. We will be helping homeowners make better use of their garages and improve each home’s curb appeal. The choices of garage doors are miles ahead of when I started out in the business, and there is more to come. Stay tuned!”
The first task at hand is to recruit experienced garage door installers who can maintain our high standards of workmanship. We are also need a warehouse manager who can keep track of the thousands of products we need for our residential and commercial customers.
